Declaration of Impartiality

St. George Association (USJ-SGA) is an impartial, independent, non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit association of citizens that, in accordance with the goals stated in Chapter II. Art. 6. of our Statute actively works to encourage, assist, develop and promote research in the field of international, national and corporate security and other areas of interest for the common good in the Republic of Croatia.

Our goal is the early recognition and detection of anti-democratic and destructive activities and information that enter the public media space by encouraging media literacy and understanding of the population in relation to these malicious activities.

As a politically impartial organization, USJ-SGA does not encourage or support any candidate in any election activities, nor does it take a political position for or against any political organization. Taking positions that benefit the population and general social democratic goals are not placed in the context of striving and advocating for any political option.

USJ-SGA, as an organization, is consistent in maintaining its impartiality and committed to established goals that should benefit the population regardless of their national, political, economic, social, religious, gender and other differences.

President of the Association:
Vedran Matošić

Financing statement

The work of USJ is, as a rule, reduced to the volunteer work of its members.

USJ-SGA participated as an expert partner in the application of several different projects in the domain of security and protection of democracy and the population at the EU level.

USJ-SGA co-organizes the Zagreb Security Forum, which is financed with the support of sponsors and donors from the private and public business sector, as well as funds received based on the positive evaluation of our program by the NATO Science for Peace and Security program as well as other similar programs.

In its analyzes and verifications of the veracity of information in the public space, USJ-SGA does not contact or convey the views or opinions of sponsors and donors, because the authors of these documents are independent in their scientific and professional work.

The financial operations of USJ-SGA are available for verification by all interested persons using the applications of the Croatian Ministry of Finance.

President of the Association:
Vedran Matošić

Quality Management

With the aim of rationally managing the quality of our activities and organizing our activities, USJ-SGA accepts the guidelines specified in the quality management system for civil society organizations called "OK 2015" (www.ok2015.info).

Therefore, within the framework of the USJ-SGA, there is a working group whose goal is to analyze our existing activities and propose activities to improve our activities in order to improve our abilities and fulfill the provisions established by our Statute.

The working group is headed by one of the members of the Association's Management Board and two members who are not part of the Association's management structure.

President of the Association:
Vedran Matošić
